INC's Jason Meyers was forced to break into ABC's premier airing of Detroit 1-8-7 Tuesday night [9/21] with a storm warning.
The cut-in was at a key scene in the cop drama, and Mr. Meyers looked uncomfortable providing the alert.
(Mr. Meyers gets into warnings and gets out, fast -- not like Curtis Smith who dawdles and lingers when he presents warnings.)
The storm didn't happen and the warning was curtailed a few minutes after INC's alert.
A suggestion: Why not keep the scene or show being interrupted on-screen with a little insert? There might not be sound, but at least viewers will have an idea what's going on.
